This was our third year of running a Composition competition for the Stratford Festival and this year we were able to secure sponsorship for a cash prize for each class, thanks to local firm Toyota/ Lexus Woodford Wells.
I am pleased to report that each year the numbers have grown and this year the standard, according to our adjudicator, Rosanna Whitfield, was incredibly high.
She said she really enjoyed listening to all the pieces and we had a very productive Zoom meeting with the entrants, where she gave them valuable feedback and awarded the prizes.
We hope to run the competition again next year, so if you feel you could write some music, get busy and submit it next time.
